market value...
what does the term "market value" mean?
if you know what the market value of a house was in 2004 is there a way to figure what its current "market value" is?
thanks

Re: market value...
ok, so figured out that the market value of of a home is what it was worth in the market at the time compared to other homes in the same market/location...so lets say a house had a market value of $351,000 in 2004...what would that house be worth at this very moment?
We found a piece of property I am in love with, but the house is scary...mold issues, termite issues, bad addition construction, etc...just trying to figure out what a fair offer would be...TIA!

Re: market value...
You have to look at comps in the area that have sold recently, the sooner the better, 6 months to one year. Take into account there will be a difference between the prices of a year ago and today.
