Mary J Blige & Jay-Z Concert Last Night....
I ended up making the concert with my BFF last night, and we were super-psyched.
We missed the pre-show with Dream (deliberately) and walked in at 8:30 where Mary promptly took the stage.
She sang for a solid hour (without any breaks) and every single song was on POINT.
two minute intermission
Jay takes the stage...does three songs, Mary J joins him for Song Cry....does a few more songs...
Last Song - Mary J & Jay....
TWO SONGS...TWO....JUST TWO songs they sing together??????? Doesn't that defeat the purpose of dual-concert?
Maybe b/c it's only my second concert where there were two headliners...the last one I went to was Elton John & Billy Joel....but they played 80% of the songs together....
Why even promote a concert with two artists and have them sing TWO songs together?
I'm so confused....hopefully MSG will be better?
I'm not disappointed at all...but I am confused beyond all belief!

I am so Jealous. I wanted to go so bad.
He did the same thing with R Kelly. I think it was like 2 or 3 songs they sang together. I saw Mary years ago and she blew my mind. My mom wants her to do a 50' album. She said she was made for it.

Oh, and BTW - I saw The Best of Both Worlds Tour w/Jigga & RKelly...and I felt like they sang together a lot more...but then again, I don't remember much of that evening....

haha--yeah i missed that tour. i think i was scarred for life after the hot mess that was the Mace welcome back concert at nassau coliseum
cause um--mace didn't show up
i know i've seen jay z a few times and 50 cent, busta and eminem---but i just realized i have very little recollection of how those concerts were. i need to lay off the good stuff.

I went to both concerts....RKelly and Jay Z was so much better.
Mary and Jay Z did not flow together. Mary did sing her heart out. p.s. i saw the show in Maryland
