I am 38 years old and do not have any living children. I miscarried almost 3 years ago at 24 weeks. Decided to switch to IVF for a year with no success and then took a break . During that break this November I because pregnant and will be 12 weeks on Saturday . My dr called today with Maternity 21 results and said my numbers had a high increase for downs. I don’t know the exact words she used because I couldn’t focus. I am scheduled to see genetic counselor tmrw and hoping to do a CVS . Just wondering if anyone can shed some light or hope. I want to believe that test was only a screening of my blood and not a true result. Any similar stories out there ??
