maternity clothes? any suggestions?
new at this! i am about 12 weeks and not showing but starting to feel uncomfortable in my regular clothes. i absolutely dread getting dressed for work in the morning! i am reluctant to buy maternity yet b/c i feel like it's too early! but i know it's not. my quetion is what do you buy when you are still early and just too "fat" to fit into reg. clothes? do i buy the GAP beginning pregnancy pants? any other suggestions for other stores to buy maternity clothes from? any advice from others who were/are in the same boat? anything woud help! thanks

If you are not comfortable in what you have, GO SHOPPING!!!! Maternity pants are the most comfortable things ever! I have a few pairs of the gap low rise elastic waist pants, and they are great for work, I have been wearing them since very early on, and they have been stretching with me
Don't walk around uncomfortable! Its not worth it!

I;ve been wearing maternity pants since 12 weeks and I swear I want to stay in them forever.
Get comfy, get the pants. If they get too small later on you can always buy bigger.

Re: maternity clothes? any suggestions?
I finally bought some a wk ago...im 18wks...mostly in denial!!
I bought some cute things at Kohl's, Target and Motherhood. Old Navy has some nice things too. For me, its not worth spending alot of $$ on maternity clothes.
Actually I hit Target the other nite and got dress slacks for $13, and 2 pants..$6 each! Bargain!
They are a lot more comfortable...dont hurt the belly.

You could also buy the Bella Band--that tube top looking thingy that you wear around your waist to hold up regular pants that you wear open or too large maternity pants.
I lovelovelove it! In fact, I am wearing it right now--I'm almost 18 weeks!!

I bought the Gap maternity beginner stuff with the zip front and adjustable elastic side. I wore them for a while and realized that I will probably wear them for a while AFTER, too, since I can just adjust the elastic to make them SMALLER as a lose weight

I have the Bella Bands which are GREAT!!! I also bought the pants from Kohl's (I think they're called the Miracle Pant???) OMG so comfy and pretty flattering, even with my little bump sticking out.

Re: maternity clothes? any suggestions?
for my first I bought a size bigger first. It was great because I had stuff to wear after the birth and I didn't feel bad that I was still in maternity.

Re: maternity clothes? any suggestions?
another vote for the bella band!!!!!! I bought a tummy band at maternity works (in the source mall) and it's a life savor. I'm 17 and a half weeks and I'm still wearing my regular pants to work - I zip them up halfway, leave the top unbuttoned and use the band. So much more comfortable than squeezing into my pants - and economical too!

Re: maternity clothes? any suggestions?
I started buying maternity clothes around 12 wks. they were still a little big but much more comfortable than wearing snug pants. My regular shirts I got a little longer use out of.

Re: maternity clothes? any suggestions?
Old Navy is the best for this - they make great pants with a small elastic band for maternity - people have looked at my pants and asked "THOSE are maternity?"
Plus - they are inexpensive!
