Maternity jeans RAVE

I swore when I got pregnant that I wouldn't buy maternity jeans--
Before getting pregnant I always wore Sevens, CItizens, and J Brand....basically pretty $$$ jeans-but I've had them forever and get years of use out of them.

So when I got pregnant I knew I didn't want to spend 200 bucks on a pair of jeans I'd wear for less than a year. Plus this little baby has made my bootie and hips grow (along with my belly) Chat Icon which REALLY made me not want to go jeans shopping.

Anyway, yesterday after work I went to the mall with my mom and we went into Gap Maternity (BabyGap) so I could get a few things (PS their leggings are THE BEST).

I got brave and decided to try on a pair of skinny jeans, and to my utter and complete shock, THEY WERE PERFECT! Chat Icon

I did have to buy a size up from what I would normally wear, but seriously they were so comfortable and fit so great I didn't even care about the size on the tag. And best of all they were $70 bucks!

SO I figured I'd share the little jeans secret with you girls. Seriously I'm going to live in them for the next 6 months.

And when this baby comes out I'm going back to the Gap for non-maternity jeans!

I'll have to check them out! I actually bought Old Navy skinny maternity jeans and though I haven't worn them yet, they felt pretty good when I tried them on!

Re: Maternity jeans RAVE

I used to wear gap jeans but when I lost weight my body changed and they were too boxy on me. I haven't tried them again in years. Most recently before getting PG, I was wearing Ann Taylor loft jeans. I just loved the way they fit.

I refuse to spend money on jeans, especially right now. I have 6 pairs I bought from someone on CL for $30 (total) and 3 of them fit ok -- two are really big and one is cropped and looks funny but whatever. I just hate hate hate pulling them up all the time. Those elastic waistbands just don't cut it for me.

My BF is a jeans connoisseur/fanatic. In fact, she's on her jeans forum pregnancy board through her pregnancy lol. I don't know if she's ever spent less than $200 on a pair of jeans. I think she's traded a few of hers for fancy maternity ones and that seems to be working for her. Who even knew there was such a market for jean bartering out there? Chat Icon

Glad to hear you're happy and comfortable!!! That's the most important thing!!!

One of my friends who is much further along than me wears the b-band over the panel on the jeans and says that helps with the whole having to pull them up all the time.

Does anyone know if the Gap in Roosevelt Field has a maternity section?
