Maternity leave coming back to no job

Was wondering if anyone had any info. I'm leaving for maternity leave Friday and my job is closing Monday. I am titled to 8 weeks paid maternity through nys disability. But when I return after the 8 weeks the business will be closed. Can I file for unemployment considering I will be out of a a job. ( I was only taking 8 weeks for the c section)

yes.
i lost my job after my maternity ended and i was still on disability. i was able to get several more months of disability at the rate that my company paid short term plan was on, even though i lost my job months before. i qualified for the full 6 months of short term even though i was fired for not returning after 8 weeks.
at the end of my short term i applied for and began receiving unemployment.

Ty I just hope that they will pay my disability considering I'm leaving the day before the company closes. Nothing like added stress at 39 weeks pregnant.
