Maternity leaves

Does your school pay salary for ML's or a per hour rate? I recently accepted one and have no clue as to how much they will be paying me..

The ML is from Sept - Dec...

ETA: I was just notified about the position yesterday via principal..didn't feel comfortable asking her..urghhh..

Can you call and ask? Or maybe call and ask the secretary???

Woman probably is on FMLA and still has all her benefits so they cannot give you salary because you are just filling in for her postion not taking it...you know what I mean.

Congrats though! Sent you FMChat Icon

That is great. I can see if it's the whole year maybe getting salary, but this is only for four months.

Whatever it is, I am sure I will get a little more (per day) than subbing....

I was just curious to what other schools do..I am going to def. call the main office in a couple of days to follow up on what I need to do paperwork wise and at that point, I will be ballsy and ask..lol

Re: Maternity leaves

Mine was from March through June...I believe that they do that for all replacement positions in this district...

Re: Maternity leaves

my district is sub pay... but after 40 consecutive days, you get a slight raise... if it is a full year leave, then you get salary and benefits...

I know my district only pays sub rate for ML. It stinks. I hope yours is full salary.

Re: Maternity leaves

It depends on the district, the number of days the person going out on leave has, and how much time they are taking.

You could get sub pay or salary with benefits.

Re: Maternity leaves

i believe it's something like 60 classroom days and then you become salaried. probably not the same for everywhere.
