Re: Maternity tops
i am 26 weeks and i am still wearing my regular shirts i bought a few shirts from one of those maternity stores in the source and was sooooo disapointed they are hideous and make me look likea 40 yr old whale. all of my pp shirts were long to begin with. i like fitted shirts soo much better

Re: Maternity tops
Tighter tops are my favorite. I have two baby dolls that arent maternity that I think I can get a few more weeks out of! Once my belly button starts to stickout...im probably going to opt for actual loose maternity shirts!

Re: Maternity tops
I get my form fitting maternity shirts at Down East Basics. They are pretty basic tees but I love them paired with a fun necklace and they work well with casual or work clothes.

Re: Maternity tops
I had MAYBE 4 maternity shirts for entire pregnancy. I HATED them and loved form fitting shirts. I was able to get away with regular shirts because the style right now is the extra long sweaters and shirts etc.

I feel the same exact way, i still buy all my tops at the regular stores just in a size bigger and they are form fitting.
Same for me

I also hate that they make maternity shirts all frilly, with poofy sleeves!!
I know! Or with big loud prints on them!
Bwahahahaha! As I sit here with my big loud printed frilly top, that ties in the back!!!
When I bought a few, there were not many options. Most of what I got was solid but there are some prints that I could live without.
And yes, in the beginning the flowy lower half (never met a top that was loose on the top half of me!) was a little much in the beginning but I'm getting close to filling in the "flow"!! So they are better now.
My big gripe is the criss cross neckline with plumeting cleavage. And the ties in the back are a pain when I sit back or drive, I have the knot in my back!
Being plus size, they did help me "look" more pregnant from the beginning but now that my belly's bigger, I want more form fitting tops too. I really want to find just comfy cotton tee shirts, long and short sleeve, solid colors, with the cinching on the sides.
I do still wear a good deal of my regular shirts but they are getting on the short side and I look like Homer Simpson!
