Math teachers... help with observation hours
Hello, My name is Kati and I'm currently in grad school for childhood education. Next semester (spring '14) I'll be taking my math methods course and will have to observe 10 hours of math in a public school, grades 1-6. I know it's early but I wanted to set up my observation hours as early as possible. I'm currently 20 weeks pregnant, work full time, and have a part time job with a toddler at home. I have to use sick/personal days for any time spent observing so ideally I would love to take two days off and get the ten hours out of the way as quickly as possible. I will gladly help in the classroom or I can sit and stay out of the way if you prefer. I don't have connections at any LI schools like many of my classmates so I've had a lot of difficulty finding schools/teachers who will allow me to observe. I believe a 6th grade math teacher would be my best bet but am open to anything grade 1-6. If you can help at all please let me know. Thank you in advance!

What part of Queens? It wouldn't be ideal but if that's what it comes to then that's what I'll do. I would love to hear what grade level etc. Thank you for responding!
