Mattress pad rec's for twin/full bed
So DS' new bigger, big boy bed will be coming in 2-3 weeks and so I bought all new bedding except a mattress pad. I LOVE the one that is on his crib mattress/toddler bed now. It's a Sealy waterproof one that is so soft and has gone through 4 years of use. I got it at Babies R Us years ago and I can't seem to find the exact one in twin or maybe I'm just missing something.
Anyway, can you reccommend the mattress pad you use on your big kid's bed? Thanks.

Honestly, I just bought the cheapest waterproof "fabric" one at Target.

I wanted one that wasn't plasticy feeling and since my DS has allergies/asthma, I decided on this one: Luna premium hypoallergenic waterproof mattress cover, I bought it on amazon. Definitely on the more expensive side, but I am very happy with it for DS big boy bed.

We just got ours at Target. They had a few different types, the cheapest being the plastic one, there was a softer one for a few dollars more, and a few other options.

I bought the $20 one from Target when I bought his new sheet sets and when I got home and opened the package (which was the type of package that was not re-sealable) and the thing is just gross to me. It's like a paper medical gown mixed with a bit of fabric. Not at all like the one I have on his crib mattress. I think if I put this on, it would be crinkly and rough. I will keep it for a spare, not that I could return it anyway because of the packaging. I think I found a Simmons one on Amazon. Thanks!

A captain's bed! You won't get to see it when you come, it will be delivered 2 days later. He chose Scooby Doo and Super Mario sheets. Then my mom bought plain blue and green and I also want to get a flannel set.

We got a Therapedic pad from Bed Bath and Beyond. DD has had one accident, and it worked well. Didn't go thru.
