Maximum hours per week for Salaried (exempt and non exempt)
Is there a maximum hours that an employee, Salaried (exempt or non exempt) is required to work per week?
For example, can you required said salaried employee to work 100 hours per week. Without OT paid and no comp days.

I'm curoius about this too. I work for a small company and I think my employers take advantage of the young assistant that is working here. He is salaried and gets called all times of day and night to show up and gets no OT.

I'm curoius about this too. I work for a small company and I think my employers take advantage of the young assistant that is working here. He is salaried and gets called all times of day and night to show up and gets no OT.
An assistant is eligible for OT. That's a Department of Labor classification determined by the job, NOT the employer.
A call to the DOL would fix that in a heartbeat.

I jumped to conclusions that by "young assistant", he was an administrative employee. No it's not determined by title, it's determined by duties.
3) Such employees do not qualify as exempt administrative employees because their primary duty is not the performance of work directly related to the management or general business operations of the employer or the employer's customers as required under Sec. 541.200. Source: link
