May be a dumb question about sizes

Are 24 months and 2T the same?

I'm trying to order the coat from One Step Ahead and the sizing is 24m and then jumps to 3T. My DD is size 24m now and I'm just concerned that between growth and heavy winter clothes that the 24m size won't fit well. But a 3T seems to big. Not sure what to do. Won't know for sure what she weighs until the end of Nov at her 18m appt.

it depends on the brand... ds kinda skipped over the 24's in most stuff because there was a difference in the width of the 2t and 24 mo stuff more then the length.. and he is a skinny baby so 24s tended to fall off him more often... but then some brands are the opposite and they are the same width but longer..

i have learned that you cant go by the weight since ds is in 3t tops and is only 26 lbs... he needs it all for the length... i did opt for the bigger coat because then you can do layers...

Not too much difference...But if your DD is in 24 m clothes now I would go for the size up..you want coats big bec they prob have bulky clothes underneath and you figure a coat will have to last til next March if the weather stays cold til then!
