Maybe a very stupid question but...
I'm going to ask anyway.
Is there any way possible that Clomid might make you ovulate twice or am I really off my rocker. (You can laugh or snicker or roll your eyes but I really don't know what to think and feel like an idiot calling the doctor to ask).
This is my second month on it and the same thing happened last month. I started using the OPK's on day 9 and got a fairly dark line but not a positive and then the next 2 days the line gets lighter as if I would have O'd on day 8. But then last month I ended up getting a positive on day 14. Right now I only on CD 11 so I don't know if I will get another positive, but is this weird? Am I crazy and thinking about this too much??

Do yourself a favor, purchase the clearblue OPKs that give you a smiley face if it is positive. I did and it saved me many moments like this sweating over a stick wondering if it is positive or not.

Re: Maybe a very stupid question but...
You are not crazy :pats on back: Your body can gear up to O but if it is not ready the egg won't release. Then when the egg is ready the body will gear up again. That's when you get the surge and the egg is released. Otherwise you can get what looks like a surge but it is not ovulation. (quick dislaimer: I am not a doctor or an expert this is just what I have been told )

not crazy - this happened to me last month. turns out I think my "second positive" was when I ovulated since AF showed up 14-15 days later.

Re: Maybe a very stupid question but...
The Clomid will give false positives and on Clomid you are most likely to ovulate CD14 or more...my guess is the Clomid is giving you a false reading on the last few days you are taking it and your true ovulation day is CD14.
Good luck

Re: Maybe a very stupid question but...
yes, i've heard clomid can give false positives too. I've heard it is best to wait 3 days after your last clomid pill to start the OPKs for this reason. but, you could also be gearing up to O too.
