Maybe I'm dense and didnt know...but is it true that we cant give chocolate until after 1 y/o?
I dont think I've given DS anything with chocolate in it but I heard today that you shouldnt give chocolate till after 1 or even later. Is that true?

I think it's because of the caffeine. I waited until Syd was 1 to give her sweets.

gave DS some chocolate ice cream the other day... it was only a tablespoon or so worth. he's nine months.
not gonna lose sleep over it.

I've heard it from both my mom and my ped. I believe early exposure can lead to allergies.

oopsies! I'll give him ice cream, cake, cookies, etc., I share with him, he just has a little of what I am eating when it comes to chocolate. DS just turned 1 on 8/28
