Maybe taking Jordana out of daycare...

My sister just called me with an idea of sharing a nanny. We talked about this when we were deciding what to do with the daycare, but it never panned out.

My sister is a SAHM and has a babysitter for Sat. nights. Originally, she was going to be my nanny, but she way too much $$$Chat Icon Far more than the going rate of $500/week. So then we put Jordana into daycare almost as expensive as my law school tuition. Chat Icon

Jordana has been had a runny nose and has been congseted for about a month. She had 2 days of being all better, and now she seems to have it all over again.

I'm also not happy about some of the administrative stuff. I am not allowed to bring my Bugaboo so we had to get another stroller to add clutter to our tiny 1 bedroom. Also, I was bringing in too much fresh milk, so now i have to freeze all the milk and give them a 1 week supply each week.

There are some things i love about the daycare, like Music Together comes there. And I like most of the teachers. Who knows.. I don't even know if it will pan out...

I think sharing a nanny is a great idea. I'm sure the lawyer in you will spell out the terms of sick care, etc in advance.Chat Icon

I think that is a great idea. It's always nice when they can be at home at her age.

Good Luck!!!!

Re: Maybe taking Jordana out of daycare...

I think sharing a nanny is great-

But as far as her runny nose from daycare goes:

My DS has been sick non stop for the past couple of months... when I ask the Dr why- (since my son rarely goes anywhere- and either Im home with him or his grandmas are)- he told me its from lack of being around germs-

He actually suggested bringing him to work with me 2 days a week(I do the billing in a daycare center & since I only work half days) to get him around people/children and to help build his immunites...

SO sometimes being home all day- is def. not the better alternative!

Just thought Id give you a POV from the other side of the fence!

She may have runny nose- but she isnt sick- and being where she is- is helping her to fight off other germies

they say it takes up too much space in the stroller room. what really takes up too much space is the exercauser and the 2 quad-strollers that the just dump in the middle of the room instead of putting them to teh side. I actually got a "ticket" yesterday with a $20 fee waived Chat Icon
