Maybe u ladies can stop me from strangling DH

He is so getting on my last nerve lately. Now he tells me that this weekend coming up he is going away with his cousin to see his other cousin that is in jail. This makes me mad b/c he has such a tight work schedule (works long hours and on weekends) and he chooses to go away then spend time with his family.

Maybe I am overreacting b/c of the pregnancy hormones but I cant seem to think that this is a bit unfair. He doesnt take off on weekends b/c he always has to work but when its really something that he wants to do he will take off. If I ask him to take off to go out with DS and I or take us somewhere he cant b/c he has to work.

I am so ******. Should I be or should i just let it go and not say anything?

I would be annoyed too. Maybe you can make him commit to take a day off and plan something special for you to all do as a family

I would be p!ssed too. If DH can't take off for me and the kids, why should he do it for anyone else?

I could see how you would be upset about it.

Not sure what the situation with the cousin is but my guess is he doesn't see him on a regular basis and he does see your family at minimum every night. Keep in mind, he's not spending the whole day with the cousin - just visiting hours.

Rather than strangle him, ask him for family time. Tell him you need to feel like you are a priority too.

If that doesn't work, try arsenic. Strangling is too easily detectable. Keep the mama out of jail!

I would be annoyed as well. You have every right to be upset with him. Did you tell him that it really upsets you?

i say strangle him. maybe i'm saying this because i'm pizzed off at my ahole of a hub!

anyway.. i would be annoyed. but not sure if i would say anything either. at least to teh point where i would explode. since he works SO often, this little weekend thing may be something he could refresh from. let him understand how you feel. feel better. i don't like it when hub goes away also.
