Mayim Bialik and Michael Stone to Divorce
After "much consideration and soul-searching," Mayim Bialik announced Wednesday that she and husband Michael Stone are divorcing after nine years of marriage.
The Big Bang Theory star, who has sons Miles, 7, and Fred, 4, with Stone, cites "irreconcilable differences" for the split, which she revealed in a statement on her Kveller.com parenting blog.
"Divorce is terribly sad, painful and incomprehensible for children. It is not something we have decided lightly," she writes.
The former star of TV's Blossom, 36, also says that the split is not due to the attachment parenting she discusses in her book Beyond the Sling. "Relationships are complicated no matter what style of parenting you choose," she says.
"The main priority for us now is to make the transition to two loving homes as smooth and painless as possible," she continues. "Our sons deserve parents committed to their growth and health and that’s what we are focusing on. Our privacy has always been important and is even more so now, and we thank you in advance for respecting it as we negotiate this new terrain."
She concludes by saying, "We will be ok."

Re: Mayim Bialik and Michael Stone to Divorce
That's sad! I really like her. I actually read her book. While I agree with alot of her parenting choices, some where a little over the top for me. I'm not one for a family bed. My kids come to bed with us in the middle of the night sometimes and I usually keep babies in our room till 6 months. But she had the kids in her bed at all times from the beginning if the night. She said in her book that they have to find different places to have sex. That the bed is off limits. But she is also holding the babies all day too, so not sure when they have time. She kind of mentions that they don't do much since the kids. She said her husband was on board for all the parenting choices but I'm not sure about that now. While attachment parenting to the extreme like she does might be great for the child, I'm not sure how much time it leaves for your relationship between husband and wife.

Re: Mayim Bialik and Michael Stone to Divorce
Just the fact that she mentions AP in her divorce announcement makes me think it definitely is related!
I follow her blog and she definitely has some very strong opinions on a lot of things. I could see this getting old quick for her partner.

I think you are on to something there. Also she has had a 'comeback' of sorts with Big Bang and other smaller roles she picked up.
