McCain's speech
what did everyone think?
IMO, despite the interruptions from the pinkos, he did a phenomenal job!
I have no doubt that he is MORE than qualified for the job.

Agreed. I'm also glad he spoke a little bit about his POW experience. It puts a lot in perspective for me.

No details, as usual. Just like the dem convention.
This is all a dog and pony show. The debates will be the thing to see.

Re: McCain's speech
i thought he gave a great speech and i liked that he didn't spend time bashing obama, of course he mentioned him a couple of times he focused on himself which i think is what they should do can't wait for the debates

Re: McCain's speech
I thought he did a decent job. Its hard because Palin did such a great job last night that I dont think he lived up to her speech.
However, when he spoke about his experiences as a POW it was extremely emotional -- he's a very strong and self-less man and truly loves this country. Makes me very proud!

I was crying when he said that the guys in the cell with him had to feed him b/c his captors re-broke his arms. AND when he talked about how that other guy tapped on the wall and "saved him" after they beat him up so badly. I cannot even imagine the h3ll he went through.

No, he didn't have to bash Obama, he had Sarah Palin do that yesterday.
I don't have a problem with McCain as a person. I do admire his service to our country. I will not vote for him because I do not agree with his policies.

Re: McCain's speech
I thought the speech was decent. He's not a great speaker, but he's certainly better than Bush. His time in the military and as a POW is very admirable, but knowing how he came home and ran around on his wife and then left her for a 25 year old limits the amount of respect I have for him. I know it was over 30 years ago, but a man with so little personal integrity makes me doubt his integrity in general. Of course I feel the same way about Clinton, Edwards, Spitzer and every other politicial who has been involved in something similar. I have a hard time trusting any politicians at this point.

Re: McCain's speech
I think one of the most important things he stated in his speech was that we need to put people in Washington that can work together to make our country great[Both Republicans and Democrats] This butting heads between the president and congress needs to cease for us to be able to move forward.

it is absolutely inconceivable what he went through as a POW.
the speech was absolutely unbelievable. i was floored. and i am rarely floored. he is such a great man. they don't make men like him anymore.
