MD just called....I'm anemic
Anyone else anemic? I was told to take Slow Iron twice a day...I'm also a vegetarian, so I'm sure that doesn't help.
I forgot to ask if you get retested in a certain amount of time to see if the anemia is gone....

Yep.
Besides the pills, I get weekly B12 shots. Last year it was so bad I was hospitalized and needed a blood transfusion. I'm also a non-meat eater. My doctor and DH have actually bribed and begged me to eat liver and steak

I had anemia when I was pregnant. It was slight though. I had to take Iron every other day. I think I was only tested once.

I was taking Iron once a day while pg, they said to continue taking it after delivery and at my 6 week they will retest my blood

I was anemic while pregnant. I am now 7 months post delivery and I am still slightly anemic. I still have to take my iron pills. I will be tested again in 3 months to see if I am still anemic.
