Medications from different doctors?

So, DH is on a variety of various medications from different doctors. Honestly...I think some of them are not mixing well because when he takes some of them, he becomes completly not himself...he doesn't even know things he said/did earlier in the day...it's pretty scary. He goes from his "normal" self to someone out of control irate, depressed, emotional, etc. I honestly think it's the combo of different kinds of meds. Some of them are for his diabetes...some for anxiety/depression, some for pain from an accident recently.

I don't know who to talk to, or ask. Each of his doctors recorded everything that he was on, before prescribing something new...but I still feel like there is something not mixing well. Who can I ask? Is it even possible for 1 person to look at all these meds and tell me which ones don't mix with the others? I'm at a loss...need help. Thanks. Chat Icon Chat Icon

definately! it also could be some of the side effects of the medications. i would also check out a website to see side effects that are not listed on the bottles.

another site you can look at is

The pharmacist should know, especially if you have them filled at the same place. But definitely look into it.

I'm sorry! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Definitely talk to the pharmacist, but I'd also talk to his psychiatrist (or whoever is handling his depression / anxiety meds). He needs to know about the emotional issues.

Good luck! Combining meds can really be tricky. I hope you have it all figured out soon! Chat Icon
