medicines?
What kind of advice have you gotten about what it's ok to take or not take. I haven't taken a test yet and have not been to the doctor, but we're pretty sure that I'm expecting. I normally take an antihistamine every day and yesterday I had a headache but was afraid of taking anything for it. Tylenol had a warning but Advil didn't.

Re: medicines?
The dr. told me that I could take Tylenol. Advil, I was told to stay away from. When I was pregnant the dr. also told me I could take Sudafed. HTH.

Re: medicines?
Regular Tylenol, thats all my doctor told me was okay. Believe me, I suffered with my allergies for what felt like the whole 9 months, but couldn't take anything!

Re: medicines?
Tylenol is okay, but I would speak to your dr about taking anything in the first trimester. My dr ok'd nexium and tylenol but only if i reallyl really needed them, he preferred I didn't take anything until after the 1st trimester.

Re: medicines?
Yup, just Tylenol and I was told I could continue my Flonase for my allergies.

Re: medicines?
Thanks that's good to know. Did you ask about Allegra or Claritin? Or just Flonase?

Re: medicines?
Tylenol for headaches and Benadryl for allergies.. I was on Claritin- and was told to stop.. HTH
ETA: Your best bet is to just give a call to the Dr. you'd be using and explain to him/her, and see what they recommend...GL

Re: medicines?
My doctor approved Tylenol, Sudafed, Benadryl, and regular Robitussen. However, I would definately get them approved by your doctor. Even if you're early on in the pregnancy it's still the best idea to get your doctor's OK on things like that.
