Meditation Anyone???
I am not sure which board to post on for this topic - so I figure I'll put it in this catch all until someone moves it.
I need some tips on meditation. Does anyone have any tips on how to achieve deep meditation a little faster? I get up early - but I can't quiet my mind very effectively and wind up TRYING to meditate for almost an hour before getting into the gap... but within a few moments I am interrupted by my sons or something else. It has wound up being more frustrating than it needs to be.
Does anyone here meditate? Any tips/tricks or advice to share?

Re: Meditation Anyone???
I used to meditate in college... It was easier because I found a nice spot in the woods to sit...
Can you sneak out for an hour?

They aren't deep meditation, but they get you focused on the present (mostly thru breath) - and really help to get me centered.

Re: Meditation Anyone???
I actually meditate frequently. I have found that the best meditation that works for me when I want to focus my mind is by counting my breaths.
Take a breath in, while breathing in count in your head then exhale, again counting.
So it could be breathe in (1, 2, 3, 4, 5) breathe out (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6). See what I mean. It's a great way to get your mind focused on one thing.
Here is a link to my meditation teachers website with different types of meditation you can try:

Good Luck!
