Melting Pot restaurant
I know there was a recent post about this... I am going to the one in Connecticut on Friday and was just wondering about menu recommendations. Looking at in online... there are 4 of us... what would you recommend? A cheese fondue as an appetizer, or just skip to the entrees. We are definitely having chocolate for dessert... is the cheese and the entrees too much... should we just do cheese and dessert? HELP!!!!! This is all new to me!

Re: Melting Pot restaurant
DH and I did the dinner for 2 - it was a cheese fondue (with roasted red peppers - YUM!), it came with bread cubes, veggies, and apple slices. After that was a salad, then the entree, then chocolate dessert (which was PHENOMENAL!). I was able to eat all of that! I didn't overdo it on the cheese though because bread and cheese can really fill you up (although I could've eaten the whole cheese thing... it was sooo good!)
Everything is bite-sized, so you can eat more than you think if you pace yourself.

Re: Melting Pot restaurant
I think you could do the whole dinner too. It is bite sized pieces of stuff, and it is spaced out - it isn't like you are eating it all in a hurry.
Are you going to the one in Darien? We went there around Christmas and loved it!

Re: Melting Pot restaurant
They have pre made dinners for 2 which come with the appetizer, dinner and dessert..
Word of advice.. dont go to hungry. Its tough when you are hungry to eat one bite at a time.. lol
Besides that, I love melting pot

Re: Melting Pot restaurant
We went to the one in Darien a few weeks ago - had a great time. I forget which special we got but it came with the cheeese fondue, the salad, the entree and the choclate fondue...I never felt so FAT after eating all that...to be honest I only had two bites of the choclate fondue bc I was that stuffed...and I LOVE dessert
We said the next time we would skip the entree part...the cheese fondue is so delicious that you can't help but not eat it - even after you tell yourself this is the last one also I was a bit skeeved out when I saw all that raw meat sitting on that plate on top of each other...so I continued eating the cheese
