Met another dr. today in the practice and all I have to say is....
I didn't like her at all. She was about as friendly as a terrorist! It was the quickest appt I have ever had. I really liked the other two as well as my own, but this one was just horrible.
I am nervous enough and she goes on to mention how many babies can die if GD isn't taken care of correctly. And when I asked her a question, she looked at me like I had two heads!
I just pray she isn't on when I deliver!

That is horrible. You should bring it up to the others drs. though. They should know that the might have a partner ruining their practice. I am sure if she was nasty to you, she is with others as well.

Consider giving her one more chance. When I met one of the doctors in my practice, I thought she was just okay and then I asked a question that she found intriguing and we spoke at length and she was so knowledgable. My impression of her changed completely. Also, my main doctor seemed a bit stressed last time I saw him. The office was particularly busy and he was frustrated by the lack of improvement with my cardiac issues. Doctors can have bad days, too.
CAVEAT: If the doctor was downright NASTY, ignore all I said above. I would NEVER tolerate that and I walked out on a practice where that happened to me and refused to see any of their partners again.

I was trying to wrap my head around the entire appt today. It was the first time I had to wait over an hour to see a dr. She wasn't NASTY per say, but not welcoming, just indifferent I suppose.
I guess the other 2 I met were more "This is so exciting let's check out the heart beats" kind of drs.
She didn't leave me with a warm and fuzzy feeling!

 i'm sorry i would be devastated hearing that??! what is WRONG with them? i would tell my reg. doc she said that - its so unprofessional!!!!
There are 6 docs in my practice and i meet a new doc next week too. 2 weeks ago i had the other one who shook his head and just said "you really gained a tremendous amount of weight" = i was SO ashamed and felt so bad. I got over it but it upset me.
when i saw him a few months ago he also told me he was concerned about my "excessive weight gain" and told me not to gain ANY more weight (before i found out about the GD) i had gained 32lbs at (i think it was 26weeks) - i don't remember exactly but how the heck do you not gain ANY weight from 26 to 40 weeks if you are feeling fine? This coming from a man who is 5'4 and looks like he weighs 140. Meanwhile my reg. ob/gyn who is a woman, only mentions my weight when i ask her about it, told me its on the "high" side but makes me feel better because she tell me alot is prob water/fluids and to be careful - i don't want to feel yucky post-baby etc

totally agree. doctors can definitely have bad days, which can put a damper on their bedside manner and overall excitement about their job. so i would consider giving her another chance unless she was horribly nasty, in which case i would absolutely mention it to your main doctor.

Ugh..I know how you feel. I love all my docs, except one..sher is just so indifferent. I just PRAY she is not on when I deliver, but with my luck..I am sure she will be HA!
