It's the Met Gala. That's the point. They get some crazy theme and the point is to be out there. No fashion trends or anything. Just over the top looks.
I kinda like some of them... but never something i'd get my fashion advise from. LOL

Met Gala Red Carpet
Blake Lively's was neat - it was inspired by the Statue of Liberty and changed colors when it flipped.
The baseball hat was ridiculous and Sophie's make up made her look really old.
