Methotrexate Shots (Side effects)

Hello Ladies,

For those who had a M/C what are the side effects of taking this shot. I have been back and forth to the ER and the doctor office. Last Sunday I decided to get the methotrexate shot. After going through so much pain.

My beta levels were not increasing and they thought I may be having ectopic preganancy but they were not sure. When the they took the sono and the ultra they couldn't say for sure, but they believe that it was an ectopic pregancy. I don't known if I did the right thing or not I just known I was in so much pain and I was cramping and bleeding. Since taking the shot I have been in pain in my left side and the sharp pains last an hour to 30 mininutes. I called the DR he said that is normal. I need some advice.

There are no side effects that I have had from methotrexate. I have had it twice. Both thimes I bled for about a month. You are probably feeling the effects of the miscarriage rather than the metho A heating mad and soem midol will help. Cramping for me has lasted at most 1 day. I hope you feel better.
