Mets fans-what do you think of the trade?

Personally I don't think it's a good trade. They should have gone with the trade to bring Oswalt or Schmidt to the Mets. That's a much better trade then for a RP. I understand Sanchez got injured and they had to make a quick decision. But wouldn't you rather have Nady in RF and Oswalt or Schmidt pitching than Milledge in RF and Hernandez coming in for relief? With big names like Oswalt and Schmidt you don't have to worry about your relief staff that much.

That's just my thoughts. No bashing here I'm just saying if I were a Mets fan I would be disappointed in the trade made and the loss of other trades that were close to happening.

I'm disappointed b/c I really liked Nady and would have much rather seen Milledge traded. Honestly, I don't know enough about the other pitchers to have a true opinion either way.

I liked Nady, but the Mets needed bullpen help with the loss of Sanchez. I don't think they could've gotten a starting pitcher and just left the bullpen as it was. Even if Ozwalt or Schmidt pitched well in every game, they only pitch once per week. The Mets starters have been shaky recently and they need a solid bullpen, especially in the fall. It would be great to have another big name pitcher, but I think they needed to address the bullpen issue. I don't think Hernandez is equivalent to Sanchez, but the Mets needed someone.
