Michael Kors lightweight jacket
I bought a lightweight down jacket at Macys, by Michael Kors. Really nice looking. I washed it once according to instructions and wore it yesterday. WHAT A MESS! I had feathers everywhere, all over me, my car, etc. It's awful. I have NEVER had a down jacket do this. I can't wear it, it has to go back. Should Macys refund me? I have the reciept not the ticket. It's literally UNWEARABLE with the amt of feathers flying around when I wear it. And on top of that, it cost $$$$,almost $200 (but I got a % off when I bought it).

When did you buy it? They should refund you. Sounds weird considering you say you washed it according to the instructions...

I got it at Macys, and I washed it b/c I wash every clothing item that is machine washable, before wearing it. I don't think the problem has anything to do with the washing though, I think it's b/c it's a lightweight down jacket. Seems like the fabric is too thin to hold the down in. It is one of those jackets that comes with a drawstring bag to throw the jacket into (to put in your purse, backpack, etc).
It's awful. The shedding started after I was sitting in the car with it on, I guess b/c it was pressed b/w me and the seat of the car? It's all over my shirt, flying in the air around me in my car, etc. Terrible esp for what it cost!

Bring it back and if the cashier gives you a hard time, ask to speak to a manager. Macy's is usually pretty good about those things.

You should absolutely try to return it. I bought my DD a dress. She wore it once for less than 2 hours. I washed it according to the care label and the dress fell apart at the seam. I even had put it inside of a bra bag to keep it extra safe. I brought it back to the store where I purchased it and they refunded me immediately. I think it should be able to withstand one washing.

Crap I must have bought the exact MK jacket that you are describing down to the drawstring bag...I havent washed it yet...dont know what to do now!
I dont have the receipt but the tags are still on. I bought it from century 21.

My advice is wear before taking tags off. Go sit with it for an extended period. I think sitting pushed the feathers out of it. It's absolutely atrocious with the amt of feathers coming out. All over, no exaggeration.
