Microsoft Word Help
I am working in a doc that was not created by me-- there seems to be some formatting going on-- where lines are spaced out at 1.5 spaces, or a custom size. BUT, when I go into paragraph to change the settings-- it's not doing anything!
Sometimes Word can be so damn frustrating with this formatting crap-- someone help me!!

Re: Microsoft Word Help
Is there something in the space before or after paragraphs? That should be set at 0.

Re: Microsoft Word Help
Hit Control A to highlight the whole document. Then change the paragraph settings to what you want. That will make the whole document uniform in spacing.

Re: Microsoft Word Help
If the document was created on a windows based computer, some of the settings might not be compatible. I have this problem when I create a spreadsheet at work with a windows operating system, and then I open the file on my Mac. I notice that the some of the formulas aren't compatible.

Re: Microsoft Word Help
also to add to this, going from Word created Doc say... verison 2003 and you have office 2000, you may experience a minor problem like you have.
Downgrading something that is a high verison is hard to do but going up, you should never have a problem.
I would select the entire document (in word ctrl+a) and paste it into a notepad document. This will lose its formatting. Then select it all back and paste it back into word. Now you will be able to change your text without problems
