Microwave bottles?
I know you are not supposed to- but does anybody do it anyway?

Re: Microwave bottles?
We have always microwaved Joey's bottles. I shake them (or stir them) really well after.

Re: Microwave bottles?
I am guilty. Always have. As long as you make sure it is evenly heated, (I turn mine upside down several times to "mix" it) it is fine. Good Luck!

Re: Microwave bottles?
I do, only for a few seconds (to take the chill off) and than I shake, and little sit for a min.

Re: Microwave bottles?
Nope, because of the plastic - don't microwave with plastic plates or wrapping either. But DS always had his bottle room temp anyway so it worked out.

Re: Microwave bottles?
Every day...I don't have time to wait for the bottle warmer. I've never had a problem...I've got the number of seconds down for a certain amount of formula.

Re: Microwave bottles?
I do.. I shake it well like the other mommies to eliminate the hot spots. Never had a problem and they are always evenly heated.

Re: Microwave bottles?
Never. I hate even warming her baby food in the microwave. Mostly the breakdown of plastic is what freaks me out.

Re: Microwave bottles?
I've been using the microwave ever since my bottle warmer started acting stupid. I always shake it and let it sit for several minutes while I feed him his solids so it has plenty of time to even out any hot spots that might be there.

Re: Microwave bottles?
I was made fun of yesterday for heating a bottle "the old-fashioned" way by a Mom who microwaves. I know it would be faster, and am tempted to do it at times, and this may be a silly question, but would microwaving ruin the properties/nutrients of the formula/milk?

Yes you should never microwave breastmilk. I would give it to her cold before I would put it in the microwave.

Re: Microwave bottles?
Molly took her BM cold from the frig. NEVER microwave it. For the first 4 weeks Molly was on some formula/some BM. I never used the microwave. It only takes a few moments to take the chill off a bottle. I wouldn't chance it. JMO
