Mid-Suffolk Pediatric Group & the nurse staff/medical staff..(Not DOCTORS) - attitudes and impatience?

......without getting into too much here, has anyone noticed an attitude issue with staff there?

I never had before, but now I am not so sure.

Feel free to FM........

No, I never really noticed anything. There is one nurse there that I LOVE. She had blonde hair, but dyed it a little darker. She is usually the nurse for Hoffilena. There is one girl at the front desk (very tiny, brown long hair) who seems kind of snobby, but not necessaily an "attitude". Nothing overly sweet about her. She checks us in, takes the payment, and is a no-nonsense type of person. But she is always joking and laughing with the other staff there.

Same here! I was just there on Saturday and had no problems, cant say the front desk people are overly friendly but no biggie, they are pleasant.

I do have to say though, that the only doctor we bring DD to is Lillian Lawton, and she's not even a doctor, PA i think. She is so nice and so great with DD. We've seen some of the others and we by far like her the best.

I go to Mt. Sinai and if you are referring to the big blond in the front..yes. Sometimes she is nice and sometimes she can't be bothered to do her job.

Yea we go to Hauppauge and we've never had an issue. As someone said the desk staff isn't overly friendly, but the nurses have all been nice.

ETA: We usually have well visits on Sat/Sun and I was left waiting at the desk for about 5-10 mins while they sorted out their breakfast order Chat Icon

I always think the nurses are really nice.

The girls at the desk don't have attitudes. But they're not super friendly.

The blonde at the desk is the only one that I would not say is super nice, but I wouldnt say she has an attitude either. I'm sure her job is real crazy - just from what I've seen!

Never had any issues. Love Dr. Seratoff's nurses.

We have seen most of the docs there--we practically live there during the winter. We did have an issue with one of the DR's there. Extremely rude man. Will see anyone but him.

Were you in the Mt. Sinai office? They had a huge flood in the office and everyone was cranky.

I go to a different Dr. but I am having the same problem at mine. It's been awful I am seriously thinking about switching because of his front desk!
Everyone keeps telling me it's because they are so busy, and that there are so many sick babies... It still doesn't give them a right to treat people like that.

yes, its gotten worse, we've had a few "big" issues with paperwork stuff too...i think they are getting too big for their own good honestly, they seem overworked, overbooked, etc....

our biggest problem besides the attitude was when they filled out dd's physical form for school and "forgot" to write in she's diabetic, even though the school already has it all on file from her ped endo.....then when I called they admitted some of her paperwork is in my younger dd's file Chat Icon Chat Icon ....they assured me it wouldn't happen/its a one in a million chance but thank goodness i'm not the only one who noticed attitudes and issues....Chat Icon

totally, I've waited as thought I am invisible one too many times....i do feel for her since people can be rude, but i'm not and don't deserve it, neither do my kids....

Re: Mid-Suffolk Pediatric Group & the nurse staff/medical staff..(Not DOCTORS) - attitudes and impatience?

I've only been there twice so far, but I did detect attitude with the front desk staff. On the first visit, they kept us standing there for 5 minutes before they even acknowledged us & no one else was in the waiting area.

I called with some questions when my DS was 3 weeks old & I got phone attitude until my issue was concerning enough to her to have a doctor call me back. The doctor had us come in that day & we waited an hour to be seen. I figured they might take a newborn a little sooner.

I understand they are busy, but they don't need to be rude to people that are just concerned about their child. Hopefully things go better on his 2 month visit next week. So far the nurses and doctors have been great.
