Re: Mid Suffolk Peditatrics

I go there, but have been there only once so far when my DS was 2 weeks old...so can't help you really.. We saw Tracy Manners and she was really nice and great with DS.

The one thing I don't get is why they made his next appointment for when he is 9.5 weeks old Chat Icon I thought with a newborn he should be seen monthly at least...

I see Dr Serotoff and Dr Goldberg. Both are excellent. Ive never had to wait which is a plus and when you need them they are there.

We used them when we lived on LI. They were great. We saw Dr. Hufnagel most of the time and he was so nice.

I see Dr. Lasner. I really like her. I agree that there is never a wait. DS did go before 9.5 weeks though. I think he went at 5 days, 2 weeks, 4 weeks, then 2 months, 3 months and he is going next month at 4 months.

I go to Mt Sinai. You should call them. Maybe they made a mistake. When I first started going there, they gave me a vaccination schedule and that is what the appointments go by.

Re: Mid Suffolk Peditatrics

I go there. We went at 6 days, 2 weeks, then I think 6 weeks, 3 months, 4 months and 6 months. He also went for 3 sick visits.

We've seen Dr. Stein, Dr. Bergman (once) and Dr. Serotoff (once). We had the majority of our appointments with Dr. Stein and I've decided I don't want to go back to him. I was so much more comfortable with Dr. Bergman (who was my DHs pediatrician!) and Dr. Serotoff. I changed DCs upcoming appointments to Dr. Serotoff.

ETA We've never had to wait in the waiting room, but we've had to wait in the exam room for 30min with DC naked! But it is easy to get an appointment and with our sick visits they saw us right away.

We told her we want to hold off on the shots and do them one at a time.. but shouldn't they still see how the little one is doing with eating, gaining weight, everything in general with his new life to this world and new mommy who is still learning????? I'm annoyed sorry

the first appt is generally at 2 weeks old (if not a few days old) and then again at 2 months of age, 4 mths of age, 6 mths, etc. I don't think you have anything to be annoyed about.

It's normal for them not to be seen monthly. In fact, most insurance companies won't pay for monthly well visits.

Re: Mid Suffolk Peditatrics

I went there up until my daughter was about 8 months and I transferred out. I don't like so many doctors. I know use Dr. Eisenberg in Sayville and love love love him. My friend recommended him. It is just one doctor and he is very good.

Re: Mid Suffolk Peditatrics

I use them(mount sinai) and like them alot..dr. bennett is who I now request for all visits. They have many docters in the practice but once you start seeing them you can decide which doctor is for you..

I transferred to them after leaving Kids First in Port Jefferson..horrible!

edited to say I think its great that they are open on saturdays and if you need to see them on a sunday you can also at their hauppauge location..
