Middle of the night feedings are back?!

Maddie has been sleeping through the night since she was 2mths old. Appr. 10pm - 7am give or take an hour or so. Lately she's been moving up her am feeding. First it was 6am, then 5:30, then 5ish. Last night she woke up at 4:45am and she wouldn't settle down until I nursed her. She'll be 4mths old next week. Is this a growth spurt? I haven't introduced cereal yet could this help her get back to sleeping the whole night again?

Michael had the same thing between 3 - 4 months old. Then he just stopped and started sleeping through the night again. It is probably a growth spurt.

I could have written this myself! Ryan was sleeping thru at 9 wks and the past 5 nights he's up at 4 am or 2 am if we skip his 10PM feeding - and he is HUNGRY. I can only hope it's a growth spurt and is temporary. I"m glad to hear others in teh same boat! I hope we all start getting some sleep SOON!!!!!!!!!! Chat Icon Chat Icon

It sounds like a growth spurt.

same thing is happening to me. Parker will be 4 months tomorrow. She got up at 2 then 3 and last night 4. I'm hoping it's a growth spurt as well.

So how long does a growth spurt usually last? 5 days? a week?

OK so Ryan slept thru the night again last night - 8:20-7:00. Chat Icon Chat Icon

So it was 5 nights of waking to eat. I guess his little growth spurt is over. 5 days I can handle. I was afraid it'd turn into a new routine for him. Funny he is 4 months old today. Hang in there moms!!
