Might be TMI

How much is normal discharge in pregnancy in the second trimester. Not to be totally gross, but I feel like I am wetting my pants and I just wiped and there was a ton of whitish looking discharge( almost reminded me of the color of sperm but not as thick). Is this normal?

Depends on how far along you are in your 2nd trimester.

But I would say if you are past 20 weeks you might want to call your doc or your hospitals L&D and ask them for input.

My OB clinic had us calling L&D on weekends if we had red or brown discharge or anytype of watery discharge just to make sure.

At 28 weeks I had something similar and it ended up being some of my plug followed by bloody show and I was in preterm labor, luckily they stopped it early enough since I was unable to feel contractions but they were there.

It could be perfectly normal but "a ton" is very subjective so I would call and get some input from a medical professional just to be safe.

Thanks, I think I exagerated with the word "ton". I just read my book and it says week 17 this happens.

I had that in the 2nd trimester... not so much in the first, and it isn't as bad lately, but in the middle of the second trimester it was ICKY. I had to use pantyliners some days... if it seems like it's anything other than normal discharge, definitely call your Dr., just to get some reassurance
