Milan's 1st diaper rash...I'm annoyed
It was not major and I used the triple paste on him which worked wonders. It healed up in like less than one day. However, he just started daycare do you think this is a result of that? Or i just switched his wipes to the Parent choice wipes can it be that?
I dont like the fact that he got a diaper rash at all since he never had one when he wasn't in daycare.
Should I bring it up to his daycare provider?
I'm annoyed if you can tell.

diaper rashes are common...no need to be annoyed or mad IMHO...use some butt paste and he will be fine

IDK, i know it is coincidental but I probably wouldn't be annoyed. Do they give you a sheet each day showing the times of diaper changes? I find that they actually change DS more often than i would if we were home

Yep, my kids were/are prone to them regardless of how dry I kept them.
Just make sure to pack that triple paste in his things when you drop him off at daycare.
I hope he feels better!

Re: Milan's 1st diaper rash...I'm annoyed
It could be the wipes and not necessarily the daycare. I used Pampers Sensitive for a while.....then started using Huggies as soon as I switched she had a rash. Went back to Pampers and haven't had one since.
Switch back to your original wipes. If you see it comes back again then I would mention it.

Re: Milan's 1st diaper rash...I'm annoyed
hey Simone,
Laila has very sensitive skin. To this day, we still use Pampers sensitive wipes. I switched one time to the Huggies All Natural Care and she broke out immediately. We havent tried another since.
I would def switch back to the wipes that you have been using. Also, I would inquire of the day care how often they are changing his diapers.
Hope little Milan feels better.
BTW, how are you feeling? How is the pg coming along? Have you found out the sex as of yet?

when my DS was little he very rarely had diaper rash until he started daycare , then he was coming home with one constantly.. they weren't wiping him well enough.. I would just mention it to them

it's probably a coincidence, but i would still make a point of mentioning it and politely restating your preferences for how often to change and what cream to use.

Re: Milan's 1st diaper rash...I'm annoyed
When my son first started daycare, the same thing happened. I filled out a topical ointment form and made them put cream on after every change and he never got a rash again. Hope this helps.

Also it is his first "symptom" when he is ready to cut a tooth. He gets a very bad rash for 2 days, then on the third a tooth breaks through. It is like clockwork.

Re: Milan's 1st diaper rash...I'm annoyed
It could really be a ton of things. I find that daycare keeps DS very clean, but he didnt have a diaper rash til the weekend of his first birthday. I attributed it to teething, new foods, etc, etc. I would definately go back to your old wipes before you say anything to the daycare provider.

Re: Milan's 1st diaper rash...I'm annoyed
It could be the wipes, something new he ate or he could just be sitting in a dirty diaper too long. Like someone else said, does your provider give you a sheet of all the feedings and diaper changes? If not, I would request it to be written down just so you know he is being changed often enough. I know here the rule is at the very least every 2 hours they must be changed or whenever they have a BM or a super wet diaper.
