a family member
(21yrs old) is shipping out soon to Iraq
i am a wreck & would
like to know are there support groups on LI

I just want to lend my support to you...My BIL was on a tour of Iraq for a year...last year and let me tell you ...its wasnt easy!!
I can only say, you need to be strong for her becsuse just knowing that they are supported by us in the US...is what they need to keep on going!! My BIL used to tell us that sometimes it felt like no one cared....they dont get a "good" feeling about the support from the US but we told him time and time again that there is tons of support for them and we are VERY proud of the job that he and his fellow soldiers are doing!!
Im sure she will have email....make sure you email allot...it will help them pass the time!!
May God be with your family member!! and please thank her from me for keep me safe!!

My hubby was in the marines for 6 years and served 6 months in iraq...he was there for the start of the war with the bombings and other nonsense....FM me any time

Hi Christine,
My 24 year old brother is a Marine and was in Iraq for 7 months. He missed my wedding last year because of the stupid war. He had a few close encounters. But the most I can say to you is to pray, pray, and pray. Stay positive and keep your faith knowing that your loved one will return safe and sound.
