milk ? for those with DC 16 months +
How many ounces of milk are your DC getting now, and when does your DC get their last sippy cup/bottle of milk (e.g. with dinner, after dinner while watching TV, before bed, etc) Also if you dont mind sharing what kind of sippy cup you are currently using. TIA! ETA-My DS is almost 16 months and gets 6 Oz when he gets up, around 4 ounces with lunch and 6-8 ounces before bed we are still using he take and toss sippy cups (he seems to like them alot)

DS usually gets 2 cup of milk per day.
One before his nap, and one before bed.
He still uses the bottle, and usually any sippy cup I give him. He prefers the bottle or a regular cup though.

She drinks about 16-20oz's a day. 1 sippy cup in the am, and 1 about an hour before bed after dinner.

Thomas gets about 2 - 3 7 oz cups of milk a day. He's 18 months.
One chocolate milk cup in the morning
One or two milk cups at daycare.
He's not a milk lover.
He has 1/2 juice, 1/2 water with dinner.
He doesn't have a sippy before bed.
We use Playtex First Sipster (with handles - Stage 1) for milk (he seems to prefer his milk in these cups and the Playtex Insulated or Regular Sipster (Stage 3) for juice.
I plan to move to the Playtex Insulated Straw Cups when he's two, which he does great with, but he doesn't realize that if you turn them upside down they will leak. We've had too many chocolate milk leaks in the car seat.

24 oz or so of milk. He also has one 6 oz drinkable yogurt a day.
Currently he favours the Born Free drinking cup, but we are trying to get him to use a straw cup. So far we have had the most success with the silicone straw cup.

Re: milk ? for those with DC 16 months +
DS usually gets 4 5-6oz cups a day. But the ped just told me at his 18 months visit to cut down on the milk if he also eats cheese and yogurt. She said about 16 oz a day and I should cut out a cup. He gets his first when he wakes up, 2 at daycare at the last one at 7pm and the he goes to bed at 8:30. I think I'm gonna cut out one of the daycare cups.

DS gets 6am - 8 oz milk in sippy 7pm - 4 oz milk in sippy (that's the most he'll drink but we offer more)
He also gets a 4oz yogurt every day - sometimes drinkable with a straw and other times the regular eat-with-spoon kind.

Re: milk ? for those with DC 16 months +
I'm not sure, but I think he gets about 20oz a day. He doesn't always finish a full cup. But he gets one when he wakes up, and sometimes he wants more and then some before bed.
ETA: We use First Year sippys, not straw ones tho. But we "graduated" to these after using the take and toss.

Re: milk ? for those with DC 16 months +
We are now from 4 servings to 3 servings.
He does not care for the sippy cups anymore. He likes to toss or re-use cups with the lids. NO VALVES.
About 7 oz or so each serving.
- Breakfast when he wakes up - Before his lunch - Before his dinner
I stopped the milk after the meals. Especially at night. I am trying to dissociate milk with bed. So it's milk then dinner.

Re: milk ? for those with DC 16 months +
You know how old DD is
She gets 6-8 ounces after her first nap (usually around 11am)
Gets another 6-8 ounces after her 2nd nap (usually around 3:30pm)
Gets 10 ounces before bed
She's a big milk drinker (prefers that over food, that's why I can't give it WITH her meals or right before, because she would fill up on milk and not eat b/c she hates eating).
Glad to see I'm not the only one who's kid is still getting milk right before bed!! I thought I was being a bad mommy
Although, DD is still on bottles for milk, we're trying to break that this weekend though
ETA: I'd put money on this: when we do finally get DD off bottles, I'd bet she'll decrease her consumption of milk at those feedings after her naps...she'll be too pre-occupied with other stuff and won't finish her cups.

Re: milk ? for those with DC 16 months +
DD is 17 mos.
I don't measure her milk and have not since she switched to sippies around 13 mos. She drinks about 3--maybe 4--sippies a day (maybe that's 24 oz?).
She drinks from the Playtex Insulator and she gets the last one with dinner.

Re: milk ? for those with DC 16 months +
Not much.
We give her milk with her 3 meals, and she drinks different amounts every day. Since she is no longer drinking from a bottle (hasn't been for a few months now), I don't even know measurements. She probably gets anywhere from 4-12 oz. per day. The ped said it was okay as long as she gets other sources of calcium (and really, there's no way of FORCING her to drink more).
