Milk on a plane...

I can't remember how you girls who did long haul flights with your little ones carried the milk? I was going to bring a cooler bag with 2 pint containers of milk in it...

What did youse guys do?

Aren't there still restrictions on liquids you can bring on a plane these days? Or is that over?

You cant bring liquids anymore. I had to spill out water from Sara's bottle. You can buy milk if you want once you get through securtiy and take that on board

Well spotted...it was indeed!!

I have spoken to the airlines, I can indeed bring milk so long as I can taste it before getting on the plane. Last time I flew they let me bring juice box like formula on the plane! I also had to taste all my jars of babyfood at the time YUCK! Thats what turned me off to jars of babyfood!!!

Infant formula and food are the only liquids you're allowed to bring, and you can only bring enough for the length of the flight you'll be on. They didn't make me taste it though. BUT, I had to buy the water to mix with the powder after I passed the inspection area.

Re: Milk on a plane...

I just put milk in their bottle. And it was fine. They did make me put the bottles in baggies during the security check. (that was in Ireland) You can buy milk at the airport.

Re: Milk on a plane...

Boy am I happy Liam will be over 1 years of age and can drink milk by the time we go to Ireland in September.
No way am I going to deal with mixing formula that day. And all I'll bring is baby food that DH and I like so if we have to taste it it's not a big deal. And anything else we'll just buy when we land and go to DH's dad's house.

Re: Milk on a plane...

When we came to NY in Dec, I had milk in Nate's sippy cup and they let us through. I really think it depends on the airport. If you have an infant or toddler with you most of the time they will let you through with milk and/or juice boxes.
