Million Little Things - So confused! Question about last night's episode
I think I must have missed something, but I watched it over again and still can't figure out what I missed.
The guys are all at the airport, trying to get to the hockey playoff game. The airport is closed or whatever, due to weather, so they make up their own game and they're all playing. Then the announcement comes that their flight is going to leave in 20 mins. The guys all head to the gate, but Jon stops to buy wine and misses getting on the flight. But then all of a sudden Dave is the only one on the plane (not Eddie, Gary & Roman) and he dies in the crash. How did it go from the guys getting on the plane to Dave being on the plane? And it being 9/11. I'm so confused!

They made you think it was for the hockey game but it was a flashback.

I was confused too. But assumed they flashed ahead to another time.
Because they all at O'Hare when they were stuck waiting for their flight.
And the flight with Dave was in L.A.
He was wearing the same jersey because he was going to another hockey game.

were they on different flights? I remember Jon saying I saved $20, was it because he took a different flight from the rest of the guys??

No. He saves them $20 by flying into O'Hare for a different game.
The flight that Dave & John were on but John missed was in L.A.
ETS: I just rewatched this part of the show. And I have a correction. The flt John and Dave were on was Flt 11 leaving from Boston Logan airport going to LA on 9/11 John had a real estate conference he was attending and talked Dave into going with him. Thats why he carried so much guilt. He met Barbara Morgan on 3/12 at the airport and thats when he found out she was pregant. And also the day he met Delilah.
When the 4 of them were in O'Hare Eddie said it was June.
2 different days 2 different airports. Hope that clears it all up

The guys did not know Jon at that point yet.
