Mineola Train Station

Is there a lot of parking at Mineola train station? I want to take LIRR into Penn from here but I am not a local resident. Will I be able to find parking?

I took the train from Hicksville last time and there was NO parking for non-residents and I don't want to be stuck getting another ticket!

a ton of parking...they just built a new parking structure and I have never had a problem finding a spot in the middle of a weekday. It is on the southside of the station - I think teh LIRR website gives directoosn or an address if you click for the mineola station.

ETA that it is a pay garage but I think it was like $5 for the entire day.

Actually there is PLENTY of parking for non-residents at Hicksville, but they are taken very early in the morning. What time train are you catching?

There is plenty of parking in the new parking structure - I have never parked there since I am walking distance but I think it is $5 or so for the day and $10 maybe for 24 hours.

I am taking a 3:30 pm train. I took a mid-day train from Hicksville about a month ago when the upper floors of the parking garage were closed and I couldn't find a space anywhere.

Thanks for the replies. Looks like I can take the train and not worry about finding space. $5 isn't bad for the whole day. I will only be there for about 4 hours.

I used to get to Hicksville a lot earlier than needed (usually 45 minutes before the train). I would wait until an east bound train came in and take a spot from a person that leaves early. Around 3:00 you have a TON of construction workers coming home. This is what time I usually took the train from there to go to class in the city.

Mineola has a new parking garage for non residents it is metered though
