Mini Co-Sleeper -- should I or shouldn't I??
We have a bassinett that I can put in our room. I plan to breast feed. Should I bother with the mini co-sleeper or will the bassinett be fine? It seems like the co-sleeper makes BF at night easier, but is it really a big difference?
And will I still be getting up to pee every 2 hours anyway??

Re: Mini Co-Sleeper -- should I or shouldn't I??
I was in love with the idea of it and *had* to have one. Then my daughter was born and she would have nothing to do with it. We ended up doing the bedsharing kind of "co-sleeping". Also, it attaches to the bed, so you can't just push it out of the way when you want to get out of bed. I don't know if it would bother everyone, but I had a c-section and was very uncomfortable trying to scoot down past it so I could get off the bed.
After you have your baby, you're not going to pee nearly as much as you do while you're pregnant. I remember thinking for the longest time that something was wrong with me and I wasn't peeing enough, cuz I hardly went to the bathroom anymore. LOL. I got so used to running in there constantly.

I think if you already have the bassinet just try that in the beg. If it doesn't work then get the co-sleeper

I think the minis are a waste, get the regular size one. I loved mine, used it for all 3 of my children and breat fed the exclusively for 12 months so the co-sleeper was great

I agree. I had the mini co-sleeper and loved it, but the bassinet will probably be just as good.

Re: Mini Co-Sleeper -- should I or shouldn't I??
Hmm thanks for the input.
Since I have stuff to return and BRU is having a BIG sale tomorrow, I've decided I will get it, but we won't use it until after baby P is home. That way we can still return it if the bassinett proves to be enough.
I think I would get claustrophobic with the full-sized... I get up a few times a night anyway....
Thanks ladies!

I have the full size, also and recommend it. My friend has the mini and her son has out-grown it. She's bed-sharing now and wishes she could sitll use the co-sleeper.

We had the mini that went in between us. DD never took to the cradle so we tried it. It worked ok for a bit but she just preferred to be in between us.

My son grew out of th bassinet in 5 weeks. From then on we used the pack and play in our room, so I would get the co-sleeper. I plan to next time around.

We have the mini co-sleeper and love it. I think he would have grown out of any bassinett I would have gotten at this point.

Re: Mini Co-Sleeper -- should I or shouldn't I??
We have the mini co-sleeper and I love it! We actually don't have it attached to the bed and use it sort of as a bassinett. She has slept very well in it since day one and what I really like about it is that since we have travelled so much to visit family she always sleeps well through the night wherever she goes because she is in her usual sleep place!

Thanks -- we bought it today.
DH told me he doesn't trust the bassinett my aunt lent us - it's too rickety and unstable he says. So. we'll probaby use the co-sleeper!

Re: Mini Co-Sleeper -- should I or shouldn't I??
I had the mini and loved it. I moved her from the mini to the crib at 4 months or so.
I loved being able to just open my eyes and see her in their and if she started to fuss I could just lay my arm in their with her or plunk in a pacifier

I loved mine. I used it freestanding and we used it for 6 months. We co-slept for some of that time, but I love the mini and can't wait to use it again!
