Minor Diaper Bag issue

Okay, so I registered for and received this diaper bag, which I LOVED as soon as I saw it. I still like it (It's by Kathy Van Zeeland--a bag designer I love), but the one I rec'd has an odor. Not quite a rubber/new odor, but a tar like odor.

Not sure 1-how to rid of the smell or 2-If I should change bags.

Opinions/ideas on what to do???

TIA!

That is a really cute bag. Can you get dry cleaned?

Not sure. Will check the inside, see if there is a tag/info.

Re: Minor Diaper Bag issue

I would let it air out for a few days. Was it in a plastic bag?

Not that I know of...at least not when I opened it at the shower.

I was thinking of shooting a little Febreze in/on it.

That may leave "spots" on it. I would not do that.

You could try dryer sheet inside the bag though.

Have you asked a non preggo if it smells? I only ask b/c when I was pregnant I was very sensitive to smell and my DH was always like "You're crazy! I can't smell anything!"

Try that as well...and maybe try smelling one in the store...they might all smell, it might be this one.

I was going to say the same thing...before you do anything I would go to the store and see if they all smell like that. If they don't, I would exchange it.
