miracle blanket users
so i started using it 3 nights ago, the first night he slept 6 hours straight so i was thinking its pretty awesome, the next night 5 hours, had a bottle, went down for another 4 hours (not so bad) and last night was the shortest, feel asleep at like 10:30 and woke up at 2:15 but i was able to keep giving him the pacifier till 3, the he ate and went back to bed and slept from 4-7, so my question is...girls who use it...were your children consistently sleeping long hours when swaddled in it? i am wondering if i am not making it snug enough b/c his feet keep breaking loose but i don't want to make it to tight cause i get nervous. also he has been napping more during the day so i wonder if thats why he didn't sleep as long the past 2 nights.

Re: miracle blanket users
if his feet are breaking through, i would say that it is not tight enough. my son does not break through it at all....he is 12 weeks...

Re: miracle blanket users
I find that she sleeps better with it, but if your dc is also sleeping better during the day, it could be combination of the two.
DD kicks her feet out also, which makes me thing I'm not doing it right either.

His feet shouldn't be coming out at all. Jack is snug in there and really can't move at all.

You put her in it during the day? I didn't know if I should do that or not - and Jack is a really bad napper. I just didn't want him to get day/night confused. I almost want to try and get him to associate the blanket with bedtime. Am I being crazy?

Yea, I'll put her in it during the day when I KNOW she needs a good sleep. She's been VERY overtired lately and not really going down for a good amount of time. So the Miracle Blanket does the job. Otherwise, she usually wakes herself up when she flinches and ends of whacking herself in the face. Sometimes I'll just swaddle her in another blanket.
And at 2 months, she definitely has her day/night figured out. We have no problem putting her down around 10pm (give or take an hour) for the night.

Re: miracle blanket users
They say the tighter the better, they shouldnt be able to move around a lot, and they will wiggle more if its too losse.
DS's comes open at the legs sometimes but only after a LONG sleep...Over 9 hours...and he has had enough and wants out! LOL

Re: miracle blanket users
Make it as tight as possible. Marron never came out of hers. When we started using it she definately slept better. She still woke up to eat, but then went right back down once we wrapped her up again. She was in it until she was rolling over by herself.

I only use it for my son during nap time. He is an excellent sleeper at night, but only gets comfortable for naps using the blanket.
I also thought that I had read that they shouldnt be in it for more than either 10 or 12 hours a day....but I could be wrong...
