Mirena...?? Any one use it??

So after speaking to my OB she suggested Essurence but I am allergic to nickel. (Part of the reason my belly button piercing never worked out.) So I am thinking of doing Mirena, since it stays in five years and by that point Andrew will be 5 and Teddy will be 8 and Tubal Ligation will be easier. Anyone use it? Does it hurt to put in? How long does it take to put in?

I do not have it but my SIL does. She said the insertion was not TOO bad, but she did get bad cramps for a week or so after it was put in.

By that night I felt fine 100% and even now a few days later, its like it never happened at all.

I got it 2 weeks ago. I took advil before I went, it barely hurt, no worse than a pap. Had light spotting on and off since-but not bad-more annoying than anything!! I haven't had any cramping. So far so good!
