Re: Fabric vs Wood

Since you already know you will need a ton of folding chairs regardless, I would just get the fabric tufted chairs. You will be looking at this every day so you want it to be something you love and are happy to see.

I don't think for one holiday a year (let's even say 2), it's worth it to sacrifice the look you really want.

BTW, I love the look of the tufted chairs.Chat Icon

Fabric vs Wood

I would go with wood. We have 2 fabric and the rest wood. The fabric ones are already dirty and going to need to be replaced soon.

Re: Fabric vs Wood

I love a mix of different chairs - the blogger Brooklyn Limestone got these really cute chairs from World Market. Love her style! Not sure that these chairs would work with your table, just wanted to show you what a mix looks like.

Fabric vs Wood

Are you planning on having kids? If so, I say all wood. We had our fabric chairs for 7 years pre child and they were spotless. 1.5 years after having a baby, we need new chairs. His dirty hands get everywhere!!

I like the look of the tufted chairs but I understand the concerns about them getting dirty. I also don't like all wood chairs because I think they can get uncomfortable if the seat isn't cushioned.

Where is your dining room table from? I've been searching for a dining room table for so long and I'm having trouble finding one I like. Yours is gorgeous!

I think the mirror goes with the decor- you could incorporate other accents with similar color and style if you feel you need to tie things together.
