miscarriage question (not sure to post here or ttc)
My cousin announced her pregnancy and then lost the baby a month later. when is the clear point to tell the family? She is pregnant again and has made it past 3 months without announcing it to everyone. Should it be after the 1st sono or when you here the heartbeat. Thanks.

They say to wait 12 weeks, through the first trimester. Not that any one goes by that. When I had gone to my Dr. at 6 weeks I saw both heartbeats and I asked my Dr. if it was okay to say anything. He said it was fine the hearts are beating. With my son I told my family right away and friends I waited till about 10 weeks. With this pregnancy I told everyone right away also. If anything was to happen I would want the support of my family.

They say to wait until about 12 weeks but even if you wait until after you hear the heartbeat, the chances for a m/c drop significantly.
I think it's safe for her to tell.

I think if she's past the 12 weeks, she can probably tell people. If she's more comfortable with waiting until her first sono or until she hears the heartbeat...I would then advise her to wait until she is at ease.
Either way, I wish your cousin a happy and healthy 9 months.
