GONE MISSING - KATIE CORCORAN


On Wednesday, September 5, 2007 a young Lincoln mother of two went missing fromButler Hospital after being admitted for post-partum depression following the birth of her second son. She has not been seen since. Katie Corcoran is 5’7” tall, 115 lbs., brown hair and eyes.

UPDATE

Katie is still missing and if not found as of Wednesday, October 17th, she will now have been missing for 6 weeks. We are still working on keeping her story alive in the hope that someone will see her. We are asking the media to put her story back in the news.
We have set up a new website for Katie and encourage everyone to review this site for the latest up-to-date information regarding her case. This is also an opportunity for the public to send an e-mail to us with any leads or information they may have regarding the whereabouts of Katie. PRESS RELEASE

There were a few leads that were generated due to the Billboard Campaign, which we appreciated immensely, but now that campaign is over and we need to find new avenues to explore to tell her story.
We are starting a new e-mail campaign and would like to ask for everyone’s support with this. If you are one of the recipients of this new e-mail campaign, we would like to encourage everyone to please take a minute and forward this information to as many contacts as possible in your own e-mail address book. In turn, please ask these recipients to forward and keep the chain going. The more people that know Katie’s story, the better chance we have of finding her.
We are now working to try to take this story to a national level in the event that Katie may no longer even be in Rhode Island. We have sent packages of information to Matt Lauer at the Today Show, Americas Most Wanted and the psychic, John Edward. There is a concern that she could have made her way to New York. We have made contacts with various organizations in New York which include the Police Department, Port Authority, Homeless Shelters, Soup Kitchens, etc.
A $50,000 reward has been offered for information that leads to Katie’s return home. If Katie is spotted, she should not be approached. Please contact the Lincoln Rhode Island Police Department at 401-333-1111 or our 24-hour tip hotline at 401-439-7988 with any information leading to the whereabouts of Katie Corcoran.
We appreciate everyone’s continued efforts in the search for Katie and let’s hope that she will be found soon and brought home to her family. Lincoln woman missing for more than 2 months is found


LINCOLN, R.I. (AP)

A Lincoln woman missing for more than two months has been found after a shop owner in Baltimore realized who she was.

Katie Corcoran disappeared September 5 after she left a psychiatric hospital in Providence.

The 35-year-old mother of two was seen later in Newport, but her family and friends were unable to find her and were worried about her well-being. They offered a $50,000 reward for information leading to her return.

Lincoln Deputy Police Chief Brian Sullivan says Corcoran was staying in an area of Baltimore with a large homeless population when a shop owner got to know her and sensed she was out of place.

She looked Corcoran up online and discovered she was missing, then called police.

There's no word yet on whether the reward will be paid.

I have been thinking so much about this woman--I am so thankful she was found safe! I even contacted the website to ask them if I could do anything to help them out yesterday as I saw aotehr missing sign for her! I love hearing good news! I hope she can get the help she needs now
