Mohegan Sun - hotels nearby?
DH and I want to go to Mohegan Sun around our anniversary in June. However, there are no available rooms for that weekend, and even if there were, the prices are ridiculous! Has anyone ever stayed anywhere near Mohegan Sun, and if so, where? Thanks!

We stayed at the Red Roof Inn. It was close, super-clean and cheap.

Microtell inn. It is literally down the block. It is 1 year old. Clean and the beds are super soft.
I think its like $70 a night and they give you complimentary breakfast Scott

Re: Mohegan Sun - hotels nearby?
we've stayed several places
pequot hotel definately love the room with the double whirpool tub it has a fireplace and a huge canopy bed.
roseledge this place is really homey - the owner is really nice and has all kinds of maps and discount coupons for attractions in the area - it is literally down the road from foxwoods. we stayed in the meech room it is huge and has a wood burning fireplace - romantic
is this what you are looking for or more of a hotel type situation?
the sleep in in niantic is clean and well staffed if you are looking for a hotel and is about 10 mins away

I can't remember how much we paid....we rented one of the villas with the kitchens...we also used the spa! I loved it! My husband and I both had pedi treatments, massages, and I got an astrology reading. I had a great time.

We're staying at the best western..not the closest one, though. We're staying at the Olympic Inn b/c it's right between Mystic and Mohegan Sun, so we can do both.
