Mom haircuts... but not short like Kate on Jon and Kate

I cannot believe I am asking this question... I am dead set against short hair... but I want to get my hair straightened which will give me a lot more options and with my new fat body I'd like to work my hair in a way that's trendy and cute (but I am 35 not 25 but I want to divet attention far away from my frumpy bod) and yet DD won't constantly grab a fistful of my hair. When I get it straightened I can't put my hair in a ponytail for 2 weeks or else it will dent (japanese hair straightening). This could be an issue and the pediatrician warned me that DD could get my hair wrapped around her fingers and cut off circulation. I HATE short hair on women, but I want something that will "thin it out" at bit and look VERY professional, but also can be put in a pony tail later. I hope this makes sense. I haven't even had bangs since 1989. This could be interesting. I swear I'm such a candidate for a make over show. I'm in sales so again, professional but trendy and not too short, but good enough to be around baby.

I just got this done and it's great and I can definetly still get my hair in a pony tail. Pediatrician is right it can definetly wrap around dd's fingers. DS got his fingers caught in my the other day and I was ready to scream. Plus it took almost half an hour to get it out. I was ready to cry.

My hair was almost waist length before my pregnancy and I can barely remember times when it was above my bra strap. At the beginning of the pregnancy, I cut off about 4 inches. Then, after the baby I went to this:

I went from mid to lower back length to this Katie hairstyle. Now I am growing it out again, but will def cut it again at some point

I would say go with the Nicole Richie side swept bang, Posh Spice or Katie Holmes. You will look stylish without a lot of work. I have a chin length angled bob, and it is easy to do.

A week before my c-section, I am getting it cut a little shorter, angled more to the face and funkier, chunky highlights....

If my pp body is anything like last time, I will need to draw attention up away from it and towards my face!!!

The Katie cut is way too short for me... my hair is thick so I'll look like a mop... I also have an oval face... it's just not for me...

I like the swept bang idea and the other photos above of shoulder length hair... I just definitely have to get it straightened... or else it will curl right up/frizz. Even the flat iron won't hold those do's. I have naturally electric socket hair.

I can't get it in a pony but I can pull it back.

sorry I'm being stupid here.

I'm going tomorrow to get it cut again. I'll try and get a better pic. I don't care for short hair but this is trendy and it doesn't make me feel mommy like. The actual opposite!

I also went from bra-strap length to the Katie Holmes bob and I LOVE IT!
