Mom of Preemies

How far behind was your baby? Did they develop and progress more so based on their birth age or their corrected age?

Mine was born 1 month early, so I don't know how to gauge her progress. The docs tell me that she's actually only one week premature, since babies are considered full term at 37 weeks. I understand that, but it confuses the heck out of me!

my son was born at 36 weeks also and i am noticing a couple of delays. he just started sitting up at 8 months and doesnt really say any words yet. maybe dada

My boys were borna t 35 weeks and they are definlty behind schedule. My little guy is even a month ebhind my bigger guy. But he was in the NICU for a month and then needed surgery on his colon, so this is all expected. At thier 9 month appt the dr said they were developmentally at 7 months old, maybe even hig 6 months old. They did start doing alot more right after that appt though.
